Meet Your Doctor
We believe that the best care is provided when the doctor has an in-depth knowledge of your eye care history. Rest assured your doctor will know your name and give you a personalized experience that meets all your eye care needs.
Review Your
Eye Health History
Prior to your exam, your doctor will review your chart from previous visits. This includes general medical history, current medications, past visit details, any eye injuries, and any eyewear or contacts you currently use. Our eye doctors are patient, thorough and committed to answering any questions you have to make the eye exam a seamless experience.
Understand
Your Concerns
After reviewing your prior history, your doctor will ask you if you have any specific concerns that you would like to see addressed during your exam- beyond your chief complaint or reason for your visit. Your doctor will make sure they understand your concerns and affirm that they will be addressed during your visit.
Review Exam Findings
After your comprehensive eye exam, your doctors will review key findings with you and recommend additional care if needed. You can freely ask any questions that come to mind, whether they’re about your exam, or your eye health. Your doctor will also show you your Optomap retinal imaging images, which are included free our charge during your exam.
The Optomap is a revolutionary tool our doctors use to view the majority of the retina with a 200° high-resolution image in a single shot. An Optomap allows our doctors to track and compare the images from prior years, diagnose eye conditions quickly, and analyze progressions or changes to your retinal health.
Many eye diseases develop without symptoms and are commonly first discovered through a comprehensive eye exam. Early diagnosis for a lot of eye diseases is crucial to prevent vision loss. The Optomap technology helps our doctors detect underlying eye diseases and monitor treatment for existing ocular diseases.
If detected early, the following diseases effects can be treated or minimized, reducing the severity of vision loss.
Prescribe Vision Solutions
If you need a prescription or if your prescription has changed, your doctor will recommend glasses, contact lenses, or other products that best fit your vision needs. Then, your doctor will review information about your vision and overall eye health. Your doctor may recommend a follow-up appointment or additional tests and will discuss all available options.
Handoff to Optician
After you review your exam findings, your doctor will hand over your exam details to a certified optician, who will use the prescription and recommendations from your doctor to assist you in finding the right glasses, lenses, contact lenses, or other corrective devices for you.
